Safety lock

The tractor is equipped with safety locks to protect
the operator. If the safety locks are malfunctioning,
do not operate the tractor, and contact a TRAPP
Authorized Service Department immediately.
A safety lock prevents the engine from being
 
turned on if the brake pedal is not fully
depressed and the blade is off.
The tractor will switch off automatically if the
 
operator gets up from the seat without starting
the parking brake.
The tractor will automatically shut down if
 
the operator rises from the seat with the blade
active, even if the parking brake is active.
The tractor will automatically shut down if the
 
operator attempts to activate the blade with the
parking brake active.
Models without mowing mode in reverse:
The tractor will automatically switch off if,
  with the blade activated, the gear lever is set
to reverse.
Models with mowing mode in reverse:
With the start key in the NORMAL MOWING
 
MODE position, the tractor will turn off if the
blade is activated with the reverse gear lever.
Warning!
Do not operate the tractor if the safety latches are
not working. This system was developed for the
safety and protection of the operator.
Cut mode in reverse (on models
equipped with ignition module)
Warning!
The mowing motion in reverse with the actuating
lever of the triggered mower assembly is not
recommended. Activation of the reverse mowing
system allows reverse operation with the actuating
lever of the triggered mower assembly; it should be
performed only when necessary. Avoid mowing in
reverse, unless it is absolutely necessary.
Warning!
Use extreme caution when operating the tractor
in reverse mowing mode. Always look down and
back before moving backwards. Do not operate
the tractor if children or others are nearby.
Stop the tractor immediately if any person or
animal approaches the hazardous area.
The reverse mowing mode position of the start key
allows the tractor to move in reverse even with the
blades active. Mowing the lawn in reverse is not a
recommended operation.
To use the reverse mowing mode:
1. Start the engine as described in this manual;
2. Turn the key from the NORMAL MOWING mode
position (green) to the REVERSE CAUTION MODE
position. See Image 15;

3. Press the REVERSE PUSH BUTTON (triangular
orange) on the top right of the ignition module. The
red light on the upper left of the ignition module will
illuminate, indicating that the reverse chop mode is
on. See Image 15;
