V-belts

Check the belts after 100 hours of use, looking for signs
of deterioration and wear, replace if necessary. Since the
belts are not adjustable, they should be replaced if they
start to slip due to wear.

Cleaning the air inlet and cooling areas

To ensure proper cooling, check that the grass
screen, cooling fins and other external surfaces
of the motor are always clean. Every 100 hours of
operation (or more often under very dusty or dirty
conditions), remove the blower housing and other
cooling covers. Clean the cooling fins and outer
surfaces as needed. Do not forget to reinstall the
cooling covers.
Note:
Operating the tractor with blocked lawn netting,
dirty or clogged cooling fins and/or removed
cooling covers will damage the motor by
overheating.

Muffler

Inspect the muffler/flame arresters regularly (if
present) and replace it if it is corroded, as it may
create a risk of fire and/or damage.

Spark plug(s)

Replace the spark plug(s) at the beginning of
each season or after 100 hours of operation
(whichever comes first). The type of spark plug and
aperture adjustment can be found in the "Product
Specifications" section of this manual.

Battery

Your tractor has a battery charging system that is
sufficient for normal use. It is possible to extend
the battery life, however you need to periodically
charge it with an automotive charger.
Keep the battery and terminals clean at all times.

Keep the battery screws tight.

142
Keep ventilation holes open.

If necessary, recharge the battery with

6-10 A for 1 hour.
Note:
The original battery of your tractor is maintenance-
free. Do not attempt to remove its caps, as it is not
necessary to check or to complete the electrolyte
level.

Cleaning the battery and terminals

Corrosion and dirt on the battery and its terminals
can make it "lose" energy.
1. Remove the protection from the terminals;
2. Disconnect the black battery cable before the red
one and remove the battery from the tractor;
3. Rinse the battery with plain water and dry it;
4. Clean the terminals and ends of the cables with a
metal brush until they become shiny;
5. Cover the terminals with grease or vaseline;
6. Reinstall the battery (see "Connecting the Battery",
page 12).

Battery failures

Common causes that can cause battery failure:
Incorrect preparation for use.

Low load.

Overload.

Corroded connections.

Freezing.

These faults are not covered by the tractor warranty.

Fuel filter

The fuel filter should be replaced once every
season. If it is clogged and prevents the flow of fuel
to the carburetor, then it must be replaced.
