Starting module (if equipped)

To start the engine, insert the key and rotate
clockwise to the starting position (START). Leave the
key in the NORMAL MOWING MODE position after
the engine is turned on. To turn it off, turn the key
counterclockwise to the OFF position. See Image 12.
Note:
This mode allows to mow lawn in reverse as
described on page 23.

Warning!
Never leave the tractor switched on and
unattended.
Always switch off the blade, move the gear to
neutral, set the parking brake, stop the engine and
remove the key to prevent accidental starting.
Mower deck height adjustment lever
(mowing height adjustment)
Located on the right side of the tractor. Move the
lever to the left and adjust to the most appropriate
height for your application.

Stationary speed/brake control lever

Your tractor is equipped with an operator presence
sensor key. With the engine running, any attempt by
the operator to leave the seat without actuating the
parking brake will automatically turn off the engine.
The brake pedal is located on the left side of the
tractor. Press the brake halfway down to slow down
when changing the speed of the tractor. Press the
pedal completely to stop the tractor totally. The pedal
must be fully depressed to start the tractor.

Motion control lever

The motion control lever is located on the left side of
the tractor and has three positions, forward neutral
and reverse. The brake pedal should be depressed
and the tractor must be stopped in order to move the
gearshift lever. See Images 12, 13 and 14.

Never force the gearshift lever, as this could
position
seriously damage the transmission.

Note:
The engine will not start if the clutch/brake pedal
is not engaged and locked with the speed control
in position ((P)).
Start the tractor with the gear lever at the

neutral point (N).
Slowly move the travel control lever to the

desired position.
Release the parking brake.
