Control valve maintenance for cleaning or replacing the seals

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the shear body (2).
Disassemble the hand guard (6) removing the screw (9) and unlock the guard from the front joint.
Disassemble the operating lever (3) as you can see in the picture F.
Unscrew the valve lower plug (19).
Unscrew the valve upper plug (14).
Remove the valve spring (15), pin (16) and stem (18) from the valve body (17).
Check the seals and replace them if necessary.
Before reassembling the parts, clean the inner valve body (17) by means of compressed air to remove any dirt.
NOTE: To reassemble the control valve (17) carry out the same operations in reverse order.

Assembling the extension pole connection

Carry out the following operations:
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
Disassemble the hand guard (6) removing the screw (9) and unlock the guard from the front joint.
Remove the operating lever (3) according to the picture F.
Clamp the blade group (4-8) in a vice and rotate the valve body (17) anticlockwise by means of a key.
Put the seal (23) into the extension pole connection (25).
Screw the extension pole connection (25) onto the shear body clockwise by means of a key.

DISMANTLING THE MACHINE WHEN NO LONGER USED

7.1 Disposal of exhaust materials

After having been installed and while working, the machine does not cause any environment pollution. In any
case, all through its working life, some types of replaced or exhaust materials (such as filters, oil, etc.) are be-
ing produced in certain situations.
There are specific regulations in every Country as for the disposal of these materials and the environment
protection.
The Customer is compelled to be knowledgeable in the Laws in force in his own Country and to operate only
while complying with these regulations, according to the indications in the product technical charts, which
may be obtained from the Manufacturer.

The Laws in force about the disposal of mineral oils must be followed.

More information about the disposal of oils and other substances can be found in the safety chart of the sub-
stances (see ch. 9) and/or in the engine manual.
The steps employed in the disposal of toxic waste including the collecting, transporting, processing (trans-
formation for recycling), as well as the deposit and the dumping onto the ground are all usual activities of
common interest and are subjected to the following general principles:
a) Any risks of injuries or dangers for the health and safety of any individual and of the community have to
be avoided.
b) Compliance with any and all hygienic-sanitary requirement and avoidance of any air, water, ground and
underground pollution have to be guaranteed.
Compliance with efficient and economical principles in order to save and recycle energy and materials shall
be promoted.
