6.2

Special maintenance

WARNING!
Before any maintenance operations disconnect the tool from the air hose.
Any maintenance operations which have not been dealt with in this manual shall be carried out by an Au-
thorized Service Point of CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.
These operations shall be carried out keeping the shear clamped in a vice and wearing heavy-duty protec-
tive gloves.
Special maintenance operations shall be carried out by qualified mechanics.
6.2.1

In general

Before any maintenance operations:
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
Engage the safety catch (7).
Disconnect the air hose.
Clamp the tool in a vice
6.2.2

Replacing the blade group

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the tool.
Remove the front cover (27) by unscrewing the two screws (28).
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves, manually close the blades (4-8) and insert the pin (12) as you can see in the
picture E.
Unlock the conrod (21), then remove the retain valve (11) and the pin (12).
WARNING!
As soon as you free the conrod (21), it will automatically get back into the shear body (2), so it is important to
keep your hands at a distance.
Unscrew the screws (10).
f) Remove the blade group (4-8) and replace it.
NOTE: To re-assemble the blade group (4-8) carry out the above-mentioned operations in reverse.
6.2.3

Disassembling the pneumatic piston

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the shear body (2).
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves, then close the blades (4-8) manually and insert the pin (12) as you can see in
the picture E.
Unlock the conrod (21) by removing its pin (12).
WARNING!
As soon as you free the conrod (21), it will automatically get back into the shear body (2), so it is important to
keep your hands at a distance.
Disassemble the hand guard (6) removing the screw (9) and free the guard from the front joint.
Disassemble the operating lever (3) as you can see in the picture F.
Clamp the blade group (4-8) in the vice.
By means of a key turn the valve body (17) anti-clockwise.
Remove the piston (21) and the spring (22). If it is necessary, replace the seal (23) unscrewing the nut (24).
NOTE: To re-assemble the piston (21) carry out the above-mentioned operations in reverse.
IMPORTANT!
In case of piston seal (23) replacement, while re-assembling lock the nut (24) by means of Loctite 270 or similar.
