Always use adequate clothing as called for by the job. Wear tight clothing. Do not wear ties, necklaces or belts or keep loose
long hair which may get caught in the moving parts. Use anti-sliding shoes and protective gloves.
Wear a noise-abatement headset.
The air compressor, to which the tool is connected, must comply with the current laws and be fitted with control valves.
Do not operate, service or repair the equipment if you are under the influence of medicines, alcohol or drugs which could im-
pair your alertness or co-ordination.
Only well trained and qualified personnel, who have read the use and maintenance manual carefully, are allowed to use the
tool.
Keep children and animals away from the tool.
Never alter the safety and protective devices.
The operator is the only responsible for injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their properties.
Do not use the tool when you are in unstable position or off balance.
It is forbidden to operate the tool on ladders.
Never cut branches which are close to electric wires.
Before any routine maintenance operations, read the use and maintenance manual carefully. For any maintenance operation
which is not indicated in this manual, please contact one of the CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorized Service Points.
Use the tool just for the aims indicated in ch. "Product description". Any other kind of use may cause injuries.
Disconnect the air fitting from the electric network before performing any maintenance operation.
Keep this manual carefully and read it before any tool use.
Keep all the stickers with the safety indications in perfect conditions.
Avoid working in bad weather conditions, such as when it is foggy, heavy rainy or strongly windy.
Be careful when cutting free falling branches. They could cause loss of control of the tool.
Inhaling atomized oil or wooden dust can cause irritation or intoxication of the operator's breathing system. In case of prolonged
problems a specialist has to be contacted

2.3 Use

Adjust the air compressor at 900 kPa (9 bar) pressure. Higher pressure could cause major tool wear and tear.
Use the tool just for the aims indicated in ch. "Product description". Any other kind of use may cause injuries.
When the tool is connected to an air compressor, but it is not being used, check that the safety catch on the hand
grip engages itself automatically.
Always check that the safety devices are perfectly efficient.
Never use the tool if it is damaged, wrongly regulated or only partially assembled.

2.4 Maintenance

WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments on the mechanical parts of the equipment, put
on heavy-duty work shoes, protective gloves and goggles.
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellec-
tual qualifications.
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a qualified mechanic.
Before any maintenance or adjustment operations, disconnect the air hose.
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the machine.
Only qualified mechanics are authorized to inactivate the safety devices provided on the machine when mainte-
nance is to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine. The safety devices
should be activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorized
Service Points.
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorized by
the qualified mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:

work has been completed;
-
the machine runs in a trouble-free manner;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the machine.
