6 - MAINTENANCE
d)
Disassemble the hand protection (4) by removing the screw (15) and unscrewing the screw (14).
e)
Disassemble the operating lever (6) by removing the screw (13).
f)
Insert into the back part (19) of the valve body the metal spacer (20) which has to be at least 15 mm thick.
WARNING!
The thickness of the spacer shall not be less than 15 mm, otherwise it would damage the valve body.
g)
Clamp the back part (19) of the valve body, with the inserted spacer (20), into the vice, then unscrew the shear body by the
hand grip (2) manually.
h)
Remove the piston (21) and the spring (22). If it is necessary, replace the seal (23) by unscrewing the nut (24).
NOTE
To re-assemble the piston, please follow the instructions above in reverse.

6.2.4 Control valve maintenance for cleaning or for seals replacement

Perform the following operations:
a)
Disconnect the compressed air hose from the shear body.
b)
Disassemble the hand protection (4) by removing the screw (15) and unscrewing the screw (14).
c)
Disassemble the operating lever (6) by removing the screw (13).
d)
Disassemble the small control lever (26) by removing the screw (25).
e)
Unscrew the lower valve cap (27).
f)
Unscrew the upper valve cap (28).
g)
Remove the parts 27-28-29-30-31 from the valve body.
h)
Check the seals for perfect condition. Replace them, if necessary.
i)
Before re-assembling, clean the inner part of the valve body by using a compressed air gun, in order to remove the dirt.
NOTE
To re-assemble the control valve, please follow the instructions above in reverse.

6.2.5 Assembling the extension pole adapter

Perform the following operations:
a)
Wear heavy-duty work gloves.
b)
Disassemble the hand protection (4) by removing the screw (15) and unscrewing the screw (14).
c)
Disassemble the operating lever (6) by removing the screw (13).
d)
Insert into the rear part (19) of the valve body the metal spacer (20) which has to be 15 mm thick.
WARNING!
The thickness of the spacer shall not be less than 15 mm, otherwise it would damage the valve body.
e)
Clamp the rear part (19) of the valve body, with the inserted spacer (20), into the vice, then unscrew the shear body by the
hand grip (2) manually.
f)
Clamp the extension pole adapter (32) into the vice and screw the valve body (2) on it.
g)
Screw the adapter (32) on the extension pole end (33).

- DISMANTLING THE MACHINE WHEN NO LONGER USED

7.1 General

At the end of its working life, the tool should be dismantled.
The parts are to be divided up in order to dispose of them according to the material they are made of (metal, plastic, etc.) in
compliance with the regulations in force in the country where the tool is used.
