INSTALLATION

4.1 Connecting the tool to the air power supply

Check that the safety catch (5) is engaged.
Adjust the pressure at 900 kPa (9 bar).
Check the air filter mesh and housing against the air fitting. Clean it if necessary.
Connect the supply hose to the fitting (26) having first made sure that the fitting is thoroughly clean. Its inner diam-
eter must be at least 6 mm.
IMPORTANT!

4.2 Assembling the extension pole connection (optional)

Read the special maintenance instructions (ch. 6).
WARNING!
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
Before starting any task with the tool, wear protective cloths. Check that all the safety and protection devices
can perfectly work and have been exactly assembled.

4.3 Packing and transport

The tool is packed and carried by the manufacturer to the customer in a carton box. The packaged unit weight is 1 kg,
so it can be easily carried without any special help.

Any transport operations must be carried out in compliance with the current safety rules as to working plac-
es.

USE

5.1 Control devices

To start the shear, keep the safety catch (5) in its forward position while pulling the operating lever (3). To stop the
tool, release the operating lever (3).

5.2 Using the tool

WARNING!
Never use the tool without its hand guard (6).
Always wear adequate and suitable safety clothing for the work to be carried out. Wear a protective helmet,
avoid loose clothing, ties, necklaces, belts or long hair, if not properly tied, which could get caught in mov-
ing parts.
When holding the tool in your hand, perform the following operations:
a) Carefully put a branch between the blades (4-8), then pull the operating lever (3) and cut the branch.
b) Once the branch has been cut, release the operating lever (3) to open the blades and repeat the operation

REMEDY
• Check the air compressor fpr proper functioning
(read the corresponding documentation).
• Check the air supply (see par. 4.1).
• Check the air hose for cleanness (see par. 4.1).
• Check the blade pin for overtightness.
• Check the compressor air pressure.
• Check the valve stem seal wear and tear (see par. 6.2.4).
