4.2 Battery connection

Before connecting the battery, check that the startup key is in "OFF" position. If
you have any doubts on identifying the engine switch, check chapter 3.1 Control
Panel.
Li-ion battery is installed in a compartment in the front of the engine. Forced air
recirculation produced by the engine front fan ensures optimum battery
temperature.
To facilitate connection of the battery a single connection has been left externally
to avoid the disassembly of any elements for its connection.
1 Open the maintenance door of the generator:
2 Connect the negative battery cable (supplied disconnected) to the engine block
as the figure below:
NEGATIVE TERMINAL CONNECTION
NOTE: Models GUARDIAN S6-SOL and GUARDIAN S6 ATS use
Li-ion type battery, if you ever replace the battery for any reason, be
sure to use original GENERGY Li-ion battery. Never use other type of
batteries; the charge system of these batteries is different to traditional
batteries
Model GUARDIAN SC-RC uses standard batteries and it could be
replaced by a standard battery with the same features.
