9.3 Understanding the generator start up and stop processes:
1 The generator start up begins as soon as the startup contacts are joined.
2 The system sends a signal to the choke to act automatically.
3 The system sends power to the start up engine to start up the engine. The
maximum working time of the startup engine is about 2 seconds to prevent
overheating.
3.1 If the generator does not start in a first attempt new attempts will be performed
to a maximum of 6. In each and everyone the system automatically varies the
choke opening in search of the most favorable option for starting up.
4
After the start up the generator does not offered power immediately. The
generator will begin delivering after 20 seconds from the start up in order to ensure
that the engine is started without connected loads.
NOTE: Under conditions of extreme cold (below 5º C) the engine will have much
greater difficulty in starting so 6 start attempts may be insufficient. In this case the
presence of a person to start manually with a key would be necessary. We
recommend installing the group protected from intense cold to avoid start up
failures due to temperature.
NOTE: GENERGY is not liable under any circumstances for damages to
products or equipment that may arise from the lack of supply due to a
malfunctioning generator.
DANGER: This equipment is not designed to protect vital equipment
such as medical assistance equipment, extreme safety equipment or any
other equipment that pose a risk to persons or property in case of lack of
supply.
