II.2.4
Reduction of unit sound level
Correct installation envisions the s et-ups ai med at reducing ac oustic
problems derivi ng from nor mal func tioni ng of the unit.
IMPORTANT !
The mach ines have been develop ed and designed
exclusively for indoor inst allation.
Incorrect positioning or in stallation of the unit may
amplif y noise levels and vibrations gener ated
during operation.
IMPORTANT !
The unit noise values ar e given in the attachm ents
of this manual.
The follo wing must be considered when in stalling the unit:
• reflecting walls that are not nois e insul ated in proximity of the unit,
such as terrac e walls of the perimeter walls of a building, can cause an
increase i n the total sound press ure level detected in a meas urement
point near to the mac hine equal to 3 dB(A) for ever y surface present
(e.g. there is an increase of 6 dB(A) at 2 c orner walls;
• install relevant anti- vibrati on mounts under the unit to prevent
transmission of vibrations to the structure of the building;
• rigid frames can be prepared on the top of buildings to support the
unit and transit the weight to the building support elements.
• make all water connections using elastic joints. Pi pes mus t be firml y
supported by s olid struc tures. If walls or di viding panels are passed
through, isolate the piping usi ng elastic sleeve.
• If, after ins tallation and start-up of the unit, structural vibrati ons are
obser ved in the building which c aus e res onance such that noise is
generated in other parts of the buildi ng, cons ult a qualified ac oustic
technician for a c omplete analysis of the problem.
II.2.5
Electrical connections
DANGER !
Install a gen eral automatic switch with
characteristic d elayed curve, of ad equate capacit y
and interruption po wer, in a protected area near the
unit (the device must b e able to interrupt the
presumed short cir cuit curr ent, whose value should
be determin ed on the basis of the system
characteristics). Earth connection is compulsor y b y
law to en sure u ser safet y while the m achin e is in
use.
DANGER !
Electrical connection of the unit must be car ried out
by qualified per sonnel in compliance with the
regulations in effect in the countr y wh ere the unit is
RHOSS
installed.
damage to p ersons or propert y cau sed b y incorr ect
electrical connection.
In making the electrical connections to the board,
cables mu st be routed so that they do not touch the
hot parts of the mach ine (compr essor, flo w pip e
and liquid lin e). Protect the wir es from an y burrs.
DANGER !
Check the tightness of the scr ews that secure the
conductors to the electrical components on the
board (vibrations during handling and transport
could have caused them to com e loose).
IMPORTANT !
For electrical conn ections to the unit and the
accessories, follo w the wir ing diagr ams wh ich are
supplied with them.
Chec k the voltage and networ k frequenc y, which s hould fall within the
limit of 400-3-50 ± 6%. Chec k the phase unbalance: it s houl d be under
2%.
S.p.A. shall not be held liable for
SECTION II: INST ALL ATION AND MAINTEN ANCE
Example:
L1-L2 = 388V, L2-L3 = 379V, L3-L1 = 377V
Measurement average = (388+379+377) / 3 = 381V
Maxi mum deviation from the average = 388-381 = 7V
Unbalance = (7 / 381) x 100 = 1.83 % (acc eptabl e inas much as it is
within the envisaged limit).
DANGER !
Operation outside the lim its could affect the good
wor king order of the machine.
• All connections made in the ins tallation phas e must be ensured
against acci dental loosening. In particular, the earth wire must be longer
than the others so that it is the l ast one to bec ome taught in the event of
detachment.
• The el ectric connec tion c abl es must be made to pass inside the
ducts with mi nimum protection rating of IP33 (accordi ng to EN 60529)
• Particular attention must be paid to the presence of s harp edges,
burrs and rough surfac es in gener al or threads in order to guarantee
that the wire insul ation is not damaged.
• The power suppl y c able ducts must be tightl y fastened to the floor or
the walls.
• If the ar ea where the cable passes is subj ect to the pass age of
persons , it must be installed at a minimum height of 2 metres over the
wor k area.
• H07RN-F type c ables must be used or however the type "that do not
propagate the flame on the indivi dual vertical cable" as per IEC 20-
35/1-1 (EN 50265-2-1) test envisioned in the IEC 20-19 Standard,
CENELEC HD22 with minimum secti on accordi ng to that indic ated in
the wiring diagrams attached to the unit.
• The power suppl y c ables must pass through external fairleads
present in the part below the electric control board.
IMPORTANT: Before c onnecti ng the main c ables of the power suppl y
L1-L2- L3 to the cl amps of the mai n isolating switc h, c hec k the correct
sequenc e of the s ame.
II.2.6
Remote management of the unit
II.2.6.1
Remote management with the control panel
installed on the machine or w ith a second
keyboard (KTR: remote keyboard)
The remote keyboard (KTR) allows the remote control and display of all
of the unit's digital and analogue proc ess variables. T his acc essor y
faithfully reproduc es the keyboard and el ectronic microproc essor
functi ons ins talled on the mac hine. It is therefore possible to c ontr ol all
the unit functions directl y in the room.
The control panel installed on the mac hine can be remote controlled
after the unit has been removed, payi ng attention not to damage it.
Close the hole-seat on the door of the electric control unit so that
there is no infiltration of humidit y.
If desired, remote a s econd keyboard (KTR), slide the telephone c abl e
connector out of the seat and ins ert the remoti ng connector in its place.
ATTENTION !
MAKE SURE TH AT THE EL ECTRIC POW ER
SUPPLY H AS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE SYST EM
BEFORE ST ARTING AN Y OPERATION.
Follow the indic ations given for the connection of the Ar ea T erminal:
use 6-wire telephone c abl e and RJ 12 c onnectors;
head the c able, respecting the figure;
the l ength of the cable must not exc eed 50m (*);
keep the telephone c able inside the unit s eparate from the
inducti ve and power c harges:
use the c abl e troughs inside the electric control board that are
destined for the signal c abl es;
in the connection between Area T erminal and Chiller/heat pump
board, never ins ert the telephone cable and the power cable in the
same cable trough.
