Cleaning & Maintenance
Hot surface warning
Warning of electrical voltage
Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance, disconnect the mains plug and
allow the appliance to cool down.
Never rinse the appliance with water or immerse it in water to clean it, as this could
result in an electric shock or fire.
Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
Remove dust from the unit with a dry cloth. To remove stains, a slightly damp cloth
can be used.
Warning of electrical voltage
Work on electrical components may only be carried out by an authorised specialist
company.
Repairs and work not described in these instructions should only be carried out by
qualified personnel. Only use original accessories and original spare parts.
Repairs that require opening the unit are reserved exclusively for the manufacturer
or its customer service.
We recommend following the maintenance schedule as follows:

1.
Fuel/fuel tank: Flush every 200 hours of operation or as needed. Do not
use water to flush the tank. Only use fresh diesel.
2.
Filter: The fuel filter should be cleaned at least twice per heating season
by flushing it with clean diesel. Contaminated fuel could make this
necessary immediately, see picture below: Fig 1
Storage
When you put the unit into storage, you must empty and clean the tank.
-
Drain the remaining diesel by loosening the drain plug (6) with an open-
end spanner.
-
Then clean the tank by flushing it with a small amount of fresh diesel.
-
Empty the tank completely.
-
NEVER mix diesel with water! This will cause rust to form inside the heater.
18
Never store leftover diesel over the summer. Using old fuel can damage the heater.
Switch off the unit and let it cool down before storing.
Clean the unit (see chapter Cleaning) and store it in the original packaging with
original operating instructions in an upright position.
Store the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry place out of the reach of children.
Store the unit away from heat, frost and direct sunlight.
Ensure that the storage area is free from dust and corrosive vapours.
