(*) A higher frequency is recommended in case of use in dusty environments.
It is recommended to replace the fuel tank every three years. If
any leaks are detected in the fuel system, it is forbidden to use
the generator.
Maintenance of the air fi lter (X)
CAUTION! Do not operate the generator without a correctly in-
stalled air fi lter or with a defective air fi lter. Otherwise, the com-
bustion engine may suck in impurities that would normally be
stopped by the fi lter. The impurities can lead to malfunctions or
even damage to the generator.
Unscrew the dial and remove the fi lter cap.
Remove the fi lter and clean it in a non-fl ammable solvent, then
thoroughly squeeze out the solvent.
Soak the fi lter with clean engine oil and squeeze it out so that the
fi lter remains moist.
Install the fi lter in place and fi x the cover using the dial.
Maintenance of the spark plug
Disconnect the cable from the spark plug.
Remove the spark plug with the spark plug wrench (IX).
Use a wire brush to clean carbon deposits off the electrodes (so-
called combustion deposits).
Check the distance between the electrodes from 0.6 mm to
0.7 mm. (XII)
If burned electrodes or the ceramic casing is broken, replace the
spark plug with a new one.
Screw in the spark plug. Connect the cable to the spark plug.
Changing the engine oil
CAUTION! It is best to change the engine oil as soon as the
engine has come to a standstill. Then the oil is the thinnest and

will fl ow out of the engine gearbox the fastest.
Care must be taken when changing the oil. As soon as the en-
gine stops, the oil is hot and can cause burns.
Each oil tank has a drain opening. Place a container with a
capacity greater than that of the oil tank underneath the drain
opening.
Unscrew the drain valve (XIII) completely using a wrench. Allow
the oil to fl ow into the tank and then screw in the drain valve
using a wrench. Wipe any oil residue dry.
Top up the oil according to the procedure described under
"Checking the oil level".
CAUTION! Dispose of used motor oil in accordance with the lo-
cal regulations. It is forbidden to spill engine oil into the sewer
system.
Maintenance of the fuel fi ller fi lter
Remove the fuel fi ller cap. Take out the fuel fi ller fi lter. Clean the
fuel fi ller fi lter using extraction petrol. Dry with a soft, clean cloth.
Install the fi lter in the fi ller opening. Install the fuel fi ller cap.
CAUTION! The fi lter walls are made of fi ne mesh. Care must be
taken during maintenance to ensure that they are not damaged.
If the fi lter is damaged, replace it with a new one that is free of
damage before resuming operation.
Storage of the generator
If the generator is stored for a short time (not longer than 10
days), stop the combustion engine, disconnect all receivers and
then close the fuel valve.
If the generator is stored for more than 10 days, follow the pro-
cedure below.
Move the engine switch to the STOP / O position.
Remove the fuel fi ller cap, remove the fuel from the tank, for
example by using a suitable pump. Install the fuel fi ller cap.
Move the fuel valve to the ON position.
Move the engine switch to the ON / I position.
Place the fuel tank under the carburettor's drain line and then
loosen the valve screw (XIV) until the fuel starts to fl ow out
through the line.
Wait until the fuel fl ow stops. Disconnect the spark plug cable
and remove the spark plug.
Pull the starter pull cord 3 - 4 times to empty the fuel pump.
Move the engine switch to the STOP / O position. Tighten the
valve screw.
Screw in the spark plug and connect the spark plug cable.
Start the engine according to the procedure described under
"Start-up of the combustion engine".
Do not connect any receivers, allow the engine to run until it
stops on its own due to lack of fuel after approx. 20 minutes of
operation. The operating time will depend on the amount of fuel
remaining in the tank.
Place the fuel tank under the carburettor's drain line again
and then loosen the valve screw until the fuel starts to fl ow out
through the line.
Wait until the fuel fl ow stops. Move the engine switch to the
STOP / O position. Tighten the valve screw. Move the fuel valve
to the OFF position.
Remove the spark plug, pour a tablespoonful of engine oil with
the viscosity specifi ed in the technical data table into the cylinder
through the mounting hole.
Screw in the spark plug. Pull the starter pull cord so that the
