ensure that access is guaranteed for future mainte-
nance operations.
• During installation, handle the product with care,
avoiding the risk of crushing, impact, dropping or
contact with any type of liquid, do not drill or insert
screws on the motor exterior and do not place the
product in the vicinity of heat sources or naked fla -
mes (fig. 1). This may damage the product and ca -
use malfunctions, fire or hazardous situations. If this
occurs, suspend installation immediately and contact
the Nice Technical Assistance.
• Do not disassemble the product in any way other
than as envisaged in this manual.
• Never make any modifications to part of the product
other than those specified in this manual. Operations
other than as specified can only cause malfunctions.
The manufacturer declines all liability for damage ca -
used by makeshift modifications to the product.
• The product power cable is in PVC and is therefore
suitable for installation exclusively indoors. If instal -
led outdoors, the cable must be laid in protective
ducting.
• If the power cable is damaged, the product cannot
be used as the cable cannot be replaced. Therefore
contact the Nice Technical Assistance.
• During system set-up, keep all persons far from the
shutter when moving.
• The product packaging material must be disposed of
in full observance of current local legislation govern-
ing waste disposal.
1.3 - Operation warnings
• The product is not intended for use by persons,
including children, whose physical, sensorial or men-
tal capacities are limited, or who lack experience or
knowledge, unless supervised by a responsible per-
son, or have received instructions on the use of the
product.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the product.
2 – English
• Do not allow children to play with the fixed control
devices. Keep remote control devices out of the re -
ach of children.
• During a manoeuvre, check the automation and keep
all persons at a safe distance until the movement has
been completed.
• Do not activate the shutters when performing mainte-
nance, such as window cleaning. If the control device
is automatic, disconnect the shutter from the electri-
cal power supply.
• Always remember to check the balancing springs
and cable wear (if these mechanisms are present).
Do not use the automation if adjustments or repairs
are required. In this case always contact a specia -
lised technician to solve the problem.

INTENDED USE
For-Max is a tubular motor intended exclusively for the
automation of shutters. Any other use is prohibited!
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for dama-
ge due to improper use of the product, with respect
to the provisions of this manual.
Functional characteristics of the product:
- it is electrically powered at 230 V
- it is installed in the shutter roller. The face that protru-
des is fastened to the inside of the box using screws
or support brackets (not included)
- in can move the shutter up,down, or stop its travel in
an intermediate position
- it includes a radio receiver and a control unit with
encoder technology that ensures electronic control of
movement and precision of limit switches
- it is compatible with all Nice control electronics that
makes use of NRC radio system (transmitters and cli-
matic sensors)
- it is programmed via radio with a portable transmitter.
Some programming can also be done via cable, with
a wall-mounted push button panel (optional accesso-
ries, not included)
- it is controlled via radio or via cable with various
optional accessories, not included (see the detailed
list in paragraph 6.1, and chapter 9)
- it is equipped with a safety system known as "obsta-
cle detection". If the movement of the shutter is
accidentally stopped by an obstacle or strong resi-
stance, it immediately stops the current movement
and briefly inverts movement
- it is equipped with a thermal protection device. In the
event of overheating due to excessive use of the au -
tomation, it automatically cuts off the electricity and
restores it as soon as the temperature returns to nor-
mal.
