9.2 - Photocell F210S
(white + black/white wire)
This accessory is useful for detecting an obstacle which accidentally gets into the
path of the shutter and keeps it from going down.
For further information, refer to the instruction manual of the photocell.
ATTENTION! - Before making connection to the photocells, it is necessary to
memorize the transmitters (see chapter 6).
9.3 - Climate sensors for wind, sun, rain
white/orange + black/white wire
This accessory automatically controls the movements of the shutter based on cur-
rent weather conditions. In any case, a manual command from a user always over-
rides a command given by the accessory.
The manual commands do not stop the accessory from operating, unless the shut-
ter is not closed completely (position "1").
Various models of the VOLO and NEMO series are available with 1, 2, or 3 sensors.
You can connect in parallel up to 5 tubular motors to the same accessory, respect-
ing the polarity of the signals. Connect the black/white wires of all of the motors to
one another and the white/orange wires of all motors to one another).
9.3.1 - Programming of wind sensor
When the wind speed exceeds the programmed limit for more than three seconds,
the control unit closes the shutter and places it in position "1".
When the wind sensor is active (wind speed above programmed limit), the sun sen-
sor is temporarily deactivated.
It is possible to choose the activation limit from 5 levels. To modify the default value
(level 3), proceed as follows:
01. Press and hold key ■ of a transmitter for about 5 seconds, until the motor per-
forms 1 VIBRATION. Then release the key.
02. Slowly press key ▲ a number of times corresponding to the desired level:
• level 1 = wind at 5 Km/h
• level 2 = wind at 10 Km/h
• level 3 = wind at 15 Km/h
• level 4 = wind at 30 Km/h
• level 5 = wind at 45 Km/h
After a short time, the motor will perform a number of motions equal to the num-
ber of the selected level. Note - If this does not happen, do not perform point. In
the way, programming will come to an end without changing the level set in the
factory.
03. Finally, press key ■. The motor performs 3 long motions (= new level memo-
rized).
If you are using the sensor "VOLO-ST", you must programme the limit directly on the
sensor, referring to its instructions.
9.3.2 - Programming of sun sensor
When the intensity of sunlight exceeds the programmed limit for more than 2 min-
utes, if the shutter is in a zone between "0" and "H", the control unit places the shut-
ter in position "H" (if this has been memorized), otherwise it does not move it.
When the light intensity drops below the programmed limit and remains there for
more than 15 minutes, if the shutter is in position "H", the control unit places it in
position "0", otherwise it does not move it.
It is possible to choose the activation limit from 5 levels. To modify the default value
(level 3), proceed as follows:
01. Press and hold key ■ of a transmitter for about 5 seconds, until the motor per-
forms 1 VIBRATION. Then release the key.
02. Slowly press key ▼ a number of times corresponding to the desired level:
• level 1 = 5 Klux
• level 2 = 10 Klux
• level 3 = 15 Klux
• level 4 = 30 Klux
• level 5 = 45 Klux
After a short time, the motor will perform a number of motions equal to the num-
ber of the selected level. Note - If this does not happen, do not perform point. In
the way, programming will come to an end without changing the level set in the
factory.
03. Finally, press key ■. The motor performs 3 long motions (= memorization has
occurred).
If you are using the sensor "VOLO-ST", you must programme the limit directly on the
sensor, referring to its instructions.
The sensor can be deactivated or reactivated with a transmitter, sending the com-
mands "Sun OFF" and "Sun ON".
When the sensor is active, the user can, at any time, send the automation Up and
Down commands. These always override the controls sent by the sensor. In addi-
tion, the controls for the wind and rain sensor always override commands from the
sun sensor.
9.3.3 - Behaviour of the motor with rain sensor
If it rains, the control unit closes the shutter and moves it to position "1".
When the rain sensor is active (because it is raining), the sun sensor is temporarily
deactivated.
