- Slide ball bearing + shaft assembly into the bearing bracket hosing
[3142] making sure that the shaft [2100] is correctly aligned and
supported.
The shaft must remain aligned into the bearing housing as long as
the motor is not installed. Risk to bend shaft or destroy ball bearing.
- Install elastic ring [6544B] in its groove upon the ball bearing
[3011].
 Press the lip seal [4300] on the column's flange.

9.3.6.3 ASSEMBLY OF BEARING BRACKET TYPE TH
WITH MOTOR FRAME V18
The coupling [7010] + ball bearing [3011] + elastic ring [6544A] are
delivered as a kit already assembled.
- Install a new centering O'Ring [4610A] into the bearing bracket
housing [3142]
- Install the coupling assembly into the bearing bracket housing and
install the elastic ring [6544B] upon the ball bearing to lock it in
place.
- Fasten the lantern [3142] with screws [6577B] on the column
mating flange [1340B].
- Slide the shaft [2100] into the column [1340B].
The shaft must remain aligned into the bearing housing as long as
the motor is not installed. Risk to bend shaft or destroy ball bearing.
- Slide the lip seal [4300] onto the shaft end and insert the shaft
inside the coupling [7010].
- Install the washer [7419] and the screw [7416] upon the shaft and
tighten the screw to set shaft location.
- Tighten the screws [7417].
- Shim under pump shaft to keep it in horizontal position.
- Press the lip seal [4300] on the column flange [1340B].
