4. INSTALLATION

THESE OPERATIONS ARE THE EXCLUSIVE COMPETENCE OF SPECIALISED TECHNICIANS; IF PERFOR-
MED BY OTHER PEOPLE, THEY CAN CREATE HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS AND INJURE PERSONS AND/
OR DAMAGE THE PUMP.

VERIFICATION OF INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
The pump is designed for use in wells or on tanks;
the chosen place should not be close to premises with processes that can create explosive atmo-
spheres.

VERIFICATION OF PREMISES SUITABILITY AND SAFETY DISTANCES - where
applicable
The pump must be installed respecting safety distances from walls,
columns, other machines, etc. and in accordance with the legal requi-
rements in force in the place of installation.
In particular, check (where applicable):
Height: ....................... minimum 3000 mm,
Distance from walls: ... minimum 500 mm,
Work areas: ................ minimum 500 mm,
Electrical panel areas (where applicable)
Areas for maintenance, accesses and emergency exits.
Position with respect to other machines.
Possibility of making the electrical connection.

WELL CLEANLINESS CHECK
When installing the pump in the well, it is necessary to check the well diameter, depth and per-
pendicularity. To properly operate the pump, also check if the well has been purged.
WARNING!
Avoid purging with the pump installed

LIGHTING (only where applicable)
All machine areas must be evenly and sufficiently lit
to ensure the adjustment and maintenance operations provided for in the manual to be perfor-
med without any blind spots, reflections, dazzling and eyestrain.
Lighting must be installed in accordance with the regulations in force in the place of installation
(by the installer of the lighting system).

FLOOR
The pump must be installed on an adequately resistant
horizontal surface, made of dosed concrete or on adequa-
tely resistant structural supports. The floor must also be
flat and levelled (10 mm of tolerance on levelling). This
floor must provide for the possibility of securing the head
and external parts composing the unit. (Fig. 18)
