4. INSTALLATION

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Before making the electrical connections, check:

– That the supply system to the pump is provided with the
protection devices required by the standards in force in the
country in which it is installed.
– That the supply line is suitable for the power and voltage
required by the machine (see the plate data on the motor)
– All electrical power and control connections are part of the
terminal board in the control panel.
Before the assembly, make sure that:
– The actual dimensions of the well such as diameter and
depth are suitable.
– There is a minimum distance of 2 m between the pump
end and the bottom of the well, in order to avoid mud ente-
ring the pump. (in case of a tank, the minimum distance
must be 30 cm)
– High-strength bolts are present of a minimum 8.8 type,
necessary to connect the various components.
– A rigid steel or cement support is provided on which to
anchor the pipe - pump unit.
– All the equipment necessary for assembly is present and in
particular:
- a lifting device of suitable capacity for the units to be
lifted
- lifting straps or ropes.
- lifting support brackets.
- small tools such as spanners, etc.
