Event Search

To search by Event:
Open the Search Menu
• Press the SEARCH button on the front panel of the system OR
• Click SEARCH in the Status Bar.
• If necessary, login using your user name and password.
1. Click the SEARCH BY EVENT tab on the left.
• The Search By Event window opens.

2. Click the channel checkboxes you wish to search for an event.
3. Select the type of events you wish to search for in the Event type selection area.
• Event types: SETUP, MOTION, SMART (HDD events), SYSTEM, ALARM, V.LOSS, RECORD, or
select ALL.
4. Under FROM, enter a start time. Under TO, enter a stop time.
5. Select NEAREST (default) or FARTHEST to help organize the search results.
6. Click SEARCH.
• The Date/Time and Log fields populate with event data.
For 16-channel systems, click PAGE UP/PAGE DOWN to change pages to view other

7. Double-click an event from the Log list to begin video playback.
