System Startup/ Shutdown

SYSTEM STARTUP/ SHUTDOWN

INITIAL SYSTEM STARTUP

1. Connect the 12V adapter to the DC12V port in the connection panel.
• Press the POWER button on the front control panel or on the Remote.

Enabling System Password

By default, the system does not require a password to login to the system.
To enable a password on your system:
1. Click (SETUP) in the status bar.
2. Click SYSTEM SETUP.
3. Click SYSTEM.
4. Click the SYSTEM MANAGEMENT tab on the left.
5. Under PASSWORD, select ON. Click APPLY to save your settings.
The default ADMIN password is 1234.

Powering on the system after system shutdown

1. Press the POWER button on the front panel of the system OR;
• Press the POWER button on the remote control.
• Wait for the system to boot to the password login window.
2. (If applicable): Enter 1234 (default system password) in the log in window and then click
ENTER.
If the system's power source is abruptly cut in a power failure, the system will

automatically turn itself back on when power resumes.
It is always preferred to power down the system by using the menu options than to

disconnecting the power.

Turning off the monitor

• To power off the display and have the system remain recording, press the POWER button on
the front panel. The system continues to record with the display powered off (indicated by the
REC LED on the front panel)
• To have the display power off during a specific time, see "Screen Saver" on page 61.
