APPENDIX C: USING THE STORAGE CALCULATOR

The Storage Calculator software calculates the amount of recording time available on your hard
drive, based on the System Recording Settings. This software is located on the CD included with
your system.
1. Select the settings to reflect
the options you have chosen on
your system:
• Channel: Select the number
of channels your system has
(4CH, 8CH, 16 CH).
• CH1~CH16: Select the
channels to include in the
Recording Calculation.
• Resolution: Set the recording
resolution to CIF (352x240),
2CIF (704x240) or D1
(704x480).
• Quality: Set the recording
quality to Super, Highest,
High, Standard, Low.
• FPS (Frames Per Second):
Set the Frames Per Second for
the recording to 1, 2, 3, 7, 15
or 30 FPS.
• Audio: Set the Audio
Recording selection to ON or
OFF (if audio is being recorded
on the system).
• HDD Size: Select the size of
the system hard drive.
2. Click the Calculate button.
• The software populates the
results of your system's
recording time.
