Safety

Electromagnetic compatibility

The ultrasound system has been tested and found to comply with the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
limits for medical devices to IEC 60601-1-2:2007 and IEC 60601-1-2:2014. The ultrasound system is
suitable for use in the professional healthcare facility environment. Active HF surgical equipment causes high
electromagnetic disturbances which may interfere with the ultrasound system operation. The ultrasound
system should not be operated inside an RF-shielded room where magnetic resonance imagery is present,
because it produces high electromagnetic disturbances which may interfere with the ultrasound system
operation. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a typical
medical installation.
