Installing the software for the USB Box

General information
• Windows 2000 and XP allow you to install USB compo-
nents only if you log in with local administrator access
rights.
• Windows NT 4.0 offers no support for USB, and there-
fore cannot be used with the USB Box.
• SIDEXIS Version 5.54 or higher is required for opera-
tion of the USB Box.
Preparation
Make sure that your PC is equipped with a USB host
controller with the corresponding interfaces (USB ports).
The drivers of the USB host controller must be installed
properly. The USB host controller must be listed in the
device manager of the control panel.

NOTE
If the host controller is not installed or is listed with an er-
ror, please install the drivers provided by the manufactur-
er of the corresponding mainboard or plug-in card.

NOTE
If the USB support is deactivated in the BIOS of your
computer, you will not be able to find your USB host con-
troller! Check the following possible error sources.

Use the USB cable supplied to connect the USB X-ray
Box to your PC (connecting the flat plug on the computer
end).
Windows now automatically detects a new hardware
component and prompts you to install the matching
driver.
