2. Ensure the following connections are properly made:
a. Wiring screws are tightened to the correct torque (4.4

b. All cable connectors are secured with screws.
c. The sensor connector is plugged (PointGard 2200

d. Cable cores of cables that lead into the housing are
secured with a cable ties.
3. Close cover and tighten screws with correct torque (22
Lbs. In./ 2.5 Nm).

A 3-pin connector is provided to connect a power supply
cable. Refer to figures 15 and 16.

Connecting the power supply cable

For figures, refer to the fold-out page.
1. Open the instrument.
2. Route the power supply cable through the corresponding
cable gland 4.
3. Insert the braids of the power supply cable in the provided
3-pin connector following the wiring tables.
– For the DC version of the instrument:
If a non-shielded cable is used or PE is not connected,
bridge pin 1 and 2.
4. Tighten screws of the connector with correct torque (4.4 ...
5.3 Lbs. In. / 0.5 ... 0.6 Nm).
5. Secure the cable cores by tightening a cable tie around
them.
6. Plug the power supply connector into the appropriate
power supply socket.

7. Tighten screws with correct torque (4.4 ... 5.3 Lbs. In. / 0.5
8. Close the instrument.

The instrument can be directly mounted through the internal
mounting holes or by using the optional stainless steel
mounting brackets (83 26 497).
To mount the instrument without brackets:

4.5.1 Preparation for interface connections

1. Open the instrument.

4.5.2 Relay connections

Relay connections allow triggering of external alarm devices.
9-pin connector
A 9-pin connector is provided for relay wiring.
