. Before operation
 Unpack the appliance and remove the adhesive tape.
Use a mild cleaning agent to remove any adhesive residues.
 Dispose of the expanded polystyrene padding separately from the other pack-
aging.
 Rinse the inside of the appliance and the fittings with lukewarm water and mild
cleaning agent and allow to dry (see section "9. Cleaning and defrosting" on
page 185).
.. Changing the door hinge over to the opposite
side
The freezer is supplied with a door hinged on the right-hand side. If you would like
to change the opening direction of the freezer door, proceed as follows.
Required tools:
• Spanners (width across flat of 8 mm and 10 mm)
• Small flat-head screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
The mains plug has been unplugged.
 Empty the freezer.
 Remove the hinge cover on the right-
hand side, for example using a flat-head
screwdriver.
