(Fig. 1, Fig. 10, Fig. 11, Fig. 12)
Fully secure the Riving Knife

loose Riving Knife may slip into the Blade and be
thrown towards you.
1. Remove the Table Insert 12. See "Removing the
Table Insert" on page 17.
2. Raise the Blade 31 as high as it will go by rotat-

Blade 31 perpendicular to the Table 13, 0° on
the Blade Bevel Scale 4.
3. Unlock the Riving Knife Release Lever 40 by ro-
tating it clockwise so that it points upward
4. Pull the Riving Knife 25 towards the release le-
ver to disengage it from the pins
NOTE: There is a slight spring force that must
be overcome to release the Riving Knife 25.
5. Slide the Riving Knife 25 up to its highest posi-
tion
so that it is directly over the center of
the Blade 31.
6. Align the holes in the Riving Knife 25 with the
Riving Knife Pins 41 and ensure the Pins 41 en-
gage the Riving Knife 25 holes. Lock the Riving
Knife Release Lever 40 by rotating it counter-
clockwise
. Firmly push the Release Lever 40
to secure the Riving Knife 25 then push/pull
the Riving Knife 25 to verify that it is locked
in place. The Indicator Line on the Riving Knife
Clamping Plate 42 and the Indicator Line on the
Riving Knife Release Lever 43 must be aligned.
7. Check the alignment of the Riving Knife 25 with
the Blade 31. See "Riving Knife Alignment" on
page 35. If the Riving Knife 25 is not aligned
with the Blade 31, then repeat the process of
positioning the Riving Knife 25 and make sure
that the Pins 41 are fully engaged in the Riving
Knife holes.
8. Replace the Table Insert 12 and lock. See "In-
