6. Place the holder onto the housing.

The seal areas of the holder must be clean and dry.
Clean and dry seals if necessary.
7. Fasten the lock at the holder.
8. Press the
key on the X-zone 5000 and hold it for approx.
3 seconds.
The battery LED will be green, red/green or red (see
chapter 19 on page 63) depending on the battery capacity.
The X-zone 5000 is in STANDBY mode.
CAUTION
!
All 3 locks must be pulled tight to ensure that the X-am
5000/5600 is in the correct position and the charger
connection is assured.

The X-zone 5000 automatically switches from
STANDBY mode to OFF mode if the device is not
switched to On mode within 72 h.
3.1.2
ON mode
CAUTION
!
When
switching
recommends wearing hearing protection or using the
alarm-attenuation ring (order no. 83 20 110) as the
acoustic alarm is activated for a brief period.
Switch on the X-am 5000/5600 following the instructions
for use.
The visual and the audible alarm will be activated for a
short time.
The X-am 5000/5600 switches to X-zone mode (see
chapter 3.1.3 on page 39).
The visual and acoustic life signal (green LED ring and
single tone) is issued depending on the configuration
(1 – 60 seconds; default setting: 2 seconds).
The X-zone 5000 is in ON mode and ready for operation.

In ON mode, the alarm signals of the X-am 5000/5600 are
evaluated, processed, and, if applicable, transmitted to
other X-zone 5000 devices.

If the activated X-am 5000/5600 is removed from the
X-zone 5000, the device will exit X-zone mode after max.

In measuring mode, press the
5600 for approx. 3 seconds.
Press the
OK
peak values and the exposition values TWA and STEV as
well as additional X-zone information will be displayed.
If there are warnings or faults, the corresponding notes or
error codes (e. g. 01) are displayed (see chapter 11.1 on
page 59).

1 Station number in grouping mode:
The station number identifies a group device uniquely
within a group.
2 Wireless status: ON/OFF:
Displays whether the wireless function of the X-zone 5000
is switched on or off.
The wireless function can be switched on and off using the
Dräger CC-Vision PC software (see chapter 10 on
page 56).

3 Network number:
If independent wireless networks are required, different
network numbers must be assigned (see chapter 4 on
page 42).
The network number can be set using the Dräger CC-
Vision PC software (see chapter 10 on page 56).
4 Group ID:
The group ID uniquely identifies a group (only the last
4 characters of the group ID are displayed).
5 X-zone mode symbol
Displays whether or not there is a connection between the
X-zone 5000 and the X-am 5000/5600.
If no key is pressed for 10 seconds, the X-am 5000/5600
returns automatically to the measuring mode.
