4.3
Measurement
Explanation using a 4-way measuring device.
The following applies to all tubes and Impactors:
CAUTION
The Impactor and tubes must be used in the tube holders
indicated accordingly in order for the measurement to be
performed correctly. When inserting tubes, ensure that the
direction of flow is correct. Use only tubes, See section 11 on
page 45. Do not breath in the gases that escape during the
measurement. Risk to health.
1. Insert the tubes and Impactor with holder into the tube
holders.
2. Open the valve for the compressed air supply.
3. Complete the measurement according to the specifications
in the instructions for use for tubes and Impactors.
4. Close the valve of the compressed air supply. Immediately
remove the tubes from the mount. Analyze the results
using the tube's instructions for use.
5. First read off the tube's "Water Vapor 20/a-P".
6. If the measurement shows that permitted limits have been
exceeded, it may be necessary to repeat the
measurement.
7. In case of repeated deviations from the limits, introduce
appropriate measures in the high- or low-pressure system
to achieve the permitted limits.

Inserting the Impactor
1. Insert the Impactor into
the adapter in accordance
with the instructions for
use.
2. Insert the Impactor with
adapter in the tube holder.
3. Pull the bottom end of the
tube holder. Insert the
adapter fully into the tube
holder.

Inserting other
tubes
1. Break off the tubes as
described above, See
section 4.2 on page 31
and insert into the tube
holder in the direction
shown by the arrow.
2. Pull the bottom end of the
tube holder until the tube
can be fully inserted into the tube holder.
