Attention! Petrol is highly inflammable and explosive.
When handling fuels, you may suffer burns or other se-
vere injuries.
Never refuel the engine (1) in a building where the fu-
el vapours may come into contact with naked flames
or sparks.
Switch off the engine (1) and keep it away from heat,
sparks and flames. Only refuel outdoors.
Mop up spilled petrol immediately.
Motor
Lubricating the engine (Fig. 4)
Attention!
The engine oil must be filled before the first use!
Insufficient oil can cause damage to the engine (1).
The manufacturer is not responsible for the resulting
damages; the user solely bears the risk.
Oil fill quantity: 0.6 litres
Oil types: SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40
Use commercial engine oil with the specification 10W-
30 or 10W-40.
• Remove the screw-on oil cap (6) on the engine (1).
• Fill with engine oil until it is visible in the thread of
the filler opening. Capacity: approximately 0.6 litres.
Lubricating the tamping system (Fig. 5)
Oil fill quantity: 0.8 litres
Oil types: SAE 10W-30
Place the vibration rammer on a level surface.
Remove contamination in the area of the sight glass
(16).
Check oil level through sight glass (16). Tamping sys-
tem lubrication is OK when the oil sight glass shows
about 1/2 - 3/4 full.
If no oil is visible, then oil must be added.
Tilt the vibration rammer forward until the device rests
on the roll-off bar (I). Remove the oil drain screw (16)
from the tamper base. If necessary, top up with SAE
10W-30 oil. (use funnel)
Replace the screw and tighten it.
Bring the device to an upright position.
10. Start up
ATTENTION!
Read the safety instructions carefully (see "Safety
instructions" and additional instructions for pet-
rol-driven machines).
Preparation
Place the vibration rammer upright on a firm, level
surface so that proper lubrication of the engine (1) is
ensured.
Check before starting:
• Engine oil level,
• Fuel level,
• The tank should be at least half-full,
• The lubrication of the tamping system,
• The condition of the air filter,
• The condition of the fuel lines,
• The firm seating of the external screw connections,
• The location (device should not be started on as-
phalt or concrete)
Avoid set-up locations with depressions or holes (such
as gullies for example). There is a risk of slipping on
smooth, wet surfaces!
Starting the engine (Fig. 6 - 10)
Cold start
• Set the fuel valve (4) to the left. (Fig.6)
• Turn the fuel valve (21) on the engine (1) (Fig. 6.1) to
the right, to the "ON" position, to open it.
• Set choke lever (8) to the left to "CLOSED". (Fig. 6.1)
• Push the throttle (11) slightly to the left. (Fig. 7)
• Set ignition switch (9) to "ON". (Fig. 8)
• Pull the recoil starter (10) slightly until resistance is
felt and allow it to retract. (Fig. 9)
• Pull out the recoil starter (10) firmly but not jerkily.
The engine (1) starts.
• Set the throttle (11) to idle.
• Open choke lever (8) while engine (1) is warming up.
• Push the throttle (11) slowly and gently to the left to
operate - the machine starts to work.
Warm start
• Turn the fuel valve (4) on the fuel tank (bottom)
downwards to open it.
• Turn the fuel valve (21) on the engine (1) (Fig. 6.1) to
the right, to the "ON" position, to open it.
• Set choke lever (8) to the right to "Open".
• Set the throttle (11) to idle.
• Set ignition switch (9) to "ON".
• Pull the recoil starter (10) slightly until resistance is
felt and allow it to retract.
• Pull out the recoil starter (10) firmly but not jerkily.
The engine (1) starts.
• Push the throttle (11) slowly and gently to the left to
operate - the machine starts to work.
