Translation of brief operating manual
NOTICE
Enclose you will find a few important points for the daily use of your
swimming pool pump. However please also read the detailed operating
manual for your pump.
1. ATTENTION! Possible water residues may be found in the pump
housing and connection cables (test leads) may be found in the
terminal box. This is a result of the pump's final test.
2. Before start-up, the pump must be filled with water. Never allow the
pump to run without water, not even to check the direction of rotation!
Make sure the pump runs freely after extended periods of down time
or storage. To do this, insert a screwdriver into the slot at the fan end
and turn it by hand in the direction of rotation. If necessary, remove
the fan cover and turn the fan by hand in the direction of rotation.
3. The strainer basket must be checked once a week and cleaned if
necessary. Before doing so the pump must be switched off and all
valves must be closed.
4. Never run the pump without the strainer basket. The transparent lid
and the treaded ring on the pre-filter, should be handtightened only.
5. Electrical connections are only to be made by a qualified electrician!
6. Whenever the winding protection or the motor overload switch is
triggered contact a qualified electrician. For 400 V pumps, check the
direction of rotation (see arrow on fan cover).
7. Following commissioning, make sure the mechanical seal doesn't
leak. A strong and continuous leak suggest that the mechanical seal
needs replacing. Please contact your swimming pool builder.
8. If the pump is installed in a closed room, for example a cellar, a drain
connected to the sewers must be provided.
9. If the pump has been installed outside, it must be drained will ahead
of the cold period to avoid the risk of freezing. Even better: store the
pump in a frost-protected location during the cold season.
