to appear within 3 three seconds of opening the gas valves, the
control equipment "blocks" (i.e. completely stops the burner with the
warning light coming on). To "unblock" or release the equipment,
press the button.
Note: If the burner works with a CO (carbon monoxide) regulator.
When the equipment LT2 is on, the position of the air servo
motor and the motor's revs are adjusted according to an
O2 work curve already set on the equipment. The CO re-
gulator further reduces excess air by reducing the motor's
revs until the CO probe detects a real increase in the CO
(carbon monoxide).
COMBUSTION CHECK
For a correct air/gas ratio you have to get a carbon dioxide reading
(CO
) for the methane of at least 8% at the minimum burner supply
2
and up to the optimal level of 10% at maximum supply.
It is not advisable to exceed a 10% value or it could run with too
little excess air. This could in turn cause (with atmospheric pressure
changes, the presence of dust in the air ducts) significant quantities
of CO (carbon monoxide) to be present in the system. To prevent
dangerous situations from arising, it is essential to always
check, with a suitable instrument, that the percentage of carbon
monoxide (CO) present in the fumes is not greater than the
maximum permitted level of 0.1%.
IGNITION AND GAS REGULATION (NATURAL
GAS)
1) If not already done when connecting the burner to the gas
pipes, taking the necessary measures and opening doors and
windows, it is necessary to bleed the air contained in the pipes.
Open the union on the pipes close to the burner, and slightly
open the gas stop cock(s). Wait until you smell the typical gas
smell, and then close the cock. Wait for the necessary time,
according to the specific conditions, until the gas present in the
room is dispersed outside and then restore the connection of
the burner to the gas piping.
2) Check that there is water in the boiler and that the plant
dampers are open.
3) Make sure that the combustion product discharge can
occur freely (boiler and chimney dampers open).
4) Check that the electrical line voltage corresponds to that
required for the burner, and that the electrical connections (mo-
tor and main line) are preset for the available voltage value.
Check that all electrical connections implemented on the spot
are properly executed as per our wiring diagram.
5) Make sure that the combustion head is long enough to pen-
etrate the combustion chamber to the amount required by the
boiler's manufacturer. Check that air regulation device on the
combustion head is in the correct position for the delivery of
the fuel needed, (the passage of air between the disk and
the combustion head must be significantly reduced with low
fuel delivery while if there is high fuel delivery the air passage
between the disk and the combustion head must be open).
See the chapter "Combustion head air adjustment".

6) Apply a pressure gauge with a suitable scale to the pressure
point on the gas pressure switch (if the pressure permits, it is
preferable to use a water column instrument, not using instru-
ments with pointers for modest pressures).
7) With the burner panel switch at "O" and the main switch on,
check by manually closing the contactor that the motor rotates
in the right direction and, if necessary, switch the two cables of
the motor supply line to invert the direction of rotation. If inverters
are used see the technical instructions for the ACH 550.
8) Now switch on the control panel and set the thermostat
switch S24 to the "0" position. The control equipment
thus switches on and the programmer causes the burner
to switch on as described in the chapter "The working
of the equipment". To adjust the burner see the chapter
"QUICK GUIDE TO THE PROGRAMMING" and the instructions
for the electronic "ETAMATIC" cam in the enclosed manual.
9) After adjusting the minimum (200 digit), set the burner at
maximum, using the keyboard controls of the ETAMATIC and
adjust all points (from 200 digit to 999 digit) in accordance with
the adjustment table. (see the instructions for the ETAMATIC
electronic cam in the enclosed manual).
10) It is advisable to carry out a combustion check with the special
instrument at all the intermediate points during the course of
the modulation, (from 200 digit to 999 digit) and also check gas
delivery by reading the meter (see the chapter "READING THE
METER").
11) Check correct automatic working of the modulation by turning
the ETAMATIC equipment to "AUTOMATIC". In this way the
modulation is engaged only with the automatic command of
the boiler probe.
12) The air pressure switch air has the aim of making the equipment
safe by shutting the system down if the air pressure is not that
expected. The pressure switch must therefore by adjusted to
act by closing the contact (closed when working) when the air
pressure in the burner reaches a sufficient level. To ensure
proper working of the air pressure switch you have to, with the
