hands into the seam of the adhesive band when putting the stockings on or taking them off.
1. Turn over the compression stocking up to the foot part and pull the foot part of the stocking over
the foot. Up to the heel, the foot part must fit well on the foot. For stockings without a toe tip, it is
recommended to first put the enclosed foot slide over the foot.
2. Now the compression stocking can be carefully rolled up the leg until it is pulled on to its full length.
The stocking should not be pulled up forcefully or overstretched by grasping the top edge of the
stocking or its adhesive band.
3. To make the stocking fit well, push up the stocking material in „waves" to the top beginning at the
bottom – if necessary, do it in several steps; and finally, correct the fit with the palm of your hand.
The stocking may be easily damaged due to rough and cracked skin on heels. Thus make sure, when
putting the stocking on, that your heel gently moves through the tight leg part of the stocking.
Please also ensure that the inside of your footwear is perfect. Defective lining of footwear increases
friction and may damage the stocking.
We recommend our fitting aids if there are difficulties putting on the stockings.
Care
In order to maintain their function, wash your stockings every day after their removal. For care of
the stockings, we recommend Thuasne Compression Clean Detergent Concentrate. Alternatively use
a mild detergent for washing by hand or for machine wash (gentle cycle at 40° C) without opti-
cal brightener and fabric softener. In a laundry bag, compression stockings are specially protected.
In order to reduce the drying period, put the compression stockings into a terry cloth towel, roll it
up firmly and press the stockings out (do not wring them out). Do not leave the moist stockings in
the wet towel. Dry your stockings in the low cycle of your dryer or simply let them air dry. Never put
them in the sun or onto a radiator to dry.
Do not expose the stockings to any damaging effects, such as: strong sunlight, intense heat,
ointments, oils and greases, gasoline and aggressive detergents.
Material composition
Please find the exact information on the sewn-in fabric label.
Note: The sewn-in fabric label is an important component of the compression stockings. If you re-
move this labelling from a THUASNE product, any claim for warranty, repair or replacement shall
be waived.
Storage information and duration of use
Store in a dry place and protect from sunlight. For series products, a maximum shelf life of
36 months applies. This is followed by the duration of use of 6 months for the compression
clothing. The hourglass pictogram shows the duration of use printed on the carton label.
Customised manufacture concerns products for immediate use.
We guarantee the medical efficacy in series sizes and customised manufacture for a maximum
wearing period of six months. This is subject to the correct handling of the stockings (for example,
their care or putting them on or taking them off). If necessary, your doctor should then prescribe
new compression stockings. In case of any significant change of relevant body sizes (e.g. due to
a successful therapy, weight change), new measurements and a new supply may also be justified
earlier already.
Disposal
You may dispose of your medical compression stockings via the residual or household waste. No
special criteria exist for their elimination.
