Dear customer,
thank you for placing your trust in a
Bauerfeind product. The RhizoLoc
you have purchased is a high-
quality medical product.
Please read through all of these
instructions for use carefully,
because they contain important
information about the use,
indications, contraindications,
application, care and disposal of the
RhizoLoc. Please keep these
instructions safe, as you may want
to read them again later. If you have
any questions, please contact your
physician or medical retailer.
Intended use
The RhizoLoc is an anatomically
contoured orthosis for the thumb.
It stabilizes and, if necessary, immo-
bilizes the thumb carpometacarpal
joint and thumb basal joint. This is
made possible by aluminum
frames. A thumb tab can be used to
vary the extent of limitation of the
thumb basal joint.
With its stabilizing effect, the
RhizoLoc helps prevent undesired
movements and relieve pain.
Indications
• collateral ligament injuries
of the thumb basal joint
(e. g. skier's thumb)
• irritation in the region of the
thumb carpometacarpal joint
and thumb basal joint
(e. g. osteoarthritis)
