PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
CARRYING THE CHAIN SAW
Always disconnect the battery and put on the guide bar shield
before carrying the chain saw. If several cuttings are to be made,
switch off the chain saw with the switch between tasks.
SAW ASSEMBLY
The saw is delivered without attached handle (11), it requires assembly.
• Slide the handle (11) into the guide inside the saw body, as the arrow
on the saw body shows. Slide in until you hear snapping of the handle
lock button (12) (fig. C).
REMOVING AND INSERTING THE BATTERY
• Press the battery locking button (5) and slide out the battery (6) from
the handle (11) (fig. A).
• Slide charged battery (6) into the handle holder (11), you should hear
when the battery locking button (5) snaps.
BATTERY CHARGING
The device is supplied with partially charged battery. The battery should
be charged in ambient temperature between 4°C and 40°C.
New battery, or one that has not been used for a long time, will reach full
efficiency after approximately 3 to 5 charge/discharge cycles.
• Remove the battery (6) from the device (fig. A).
• Connect the charger to the battery (6) (fig. B).
• Connect the charger to mains socket (230V AC).
Two LEDs (7) are located in the battery casing (6) (fig. B), and meaning of
the lighting is described below.
• Red diode lit – voltage supplied and informs that charging is in
progress.
• Green diode lit (red diode turns off ) – the battery is fully charged.
Once the battery has been charged, the green diode stays on until you
will disconnect the charger from mains network.
Batteries heat up strongly when charging. Do not operate just after
charging – wait for the battery to cool down to room temperature. It
will prevent battery damage.
CHAIN LUBRICANTS
Durability of chain and guide bar depends heavily on quality of lubricant.
Use only lubricants, which are designed for chain saws.
Never use old and used oil for chain lubrication.
NEVER USE OLD AND USED OIL FOR CHAIN LUBRICATION.
Oil tank in new chain saw is empty. Fill the tank with oil before use.
To prevent dust getting into the tank, clean the oil filler plug (13) before
removing it.
• Unscrew oil filler plug (13) (fig. D).
• Fill the tank with high quality oil, so the oil level indicator sight glass
(10) is filled with oil (fig. E).
• After filling, carefully close the oil tank by tightening the oil filler plug
(13).
Use oil level indicator (10) to regularly check oil level during the chain
saw operation.
