3. MAINTENANCE

After the first hours of work, and from time to time thereafter, check to be certain
that the hoes are fixed nice and tight to their holders. This will prevent the
screws from being sheared if they have become loose.
If the hoes are bent during work, cold straighten them so as not to alter the effect
of the heat treatment given to the cutting sections.

3.1 OIL CHANGE

After about 800 work hours, change the oil.

3.1.1 In the bevel gear pair

To change the oil, remove plug n.4 (fig.1) and tilt the cultivator over until the old
oil drains out.
Add around 300 g of new oil.
It is advisable to use AGIP ROTRA MP SAE 80W/90 oil.
Check the oil level through the same plug n.4 with its dipstick. The cultivator
should be perfectly horizontal.

3.1.2 In the side casings

Remove plug n.5 fig.1 and tip the cultivator on to its side and then the other to
drain out all the oil.
With the cultivator tilted on its side, add new oil through plug n.5. amount
needed: around 300 g.
It is advisable to use AGIP ROTRA MP SAE 80W/90 oil.
Check the level through the same plug n.5 always with the cultivator tipped over
on its side.
Repeat this operation on the other side casing.

4. SPARE PARTS

When ordering spare parts from our Sales Division, always specify:
Cultivator model
Cultivator series. Here is an example:
Cultivator model 42S/A
The model and Series are stamped at the position shown at point 6, fig.1.
