Assembly
Warning:
For your own safety, plug the machine in only when you
have completed all of the steps for assembly and you have
read and understood the operating instructions with all the
safety and operating information.
Note: Prepare all the necessary items for the planned work
before you begin the process of assembly. Attend to the as-
sembly instructions and carry them out carefully with the
help of another person.
Releasing the Intake slits (fig. 2)
After you have taken the saw out of the package, remove
the blocking button from the intake slit (1). For transport
or storage the intake slits must always be in the blocked
position.
The slit blocking button (1) can be found on the right slit
side.
Assembly of the Dust Bag (fig. 4)
• In order to install the dust bag (1), press the metal collar
wings (2) together.
• Place the collar opening of the dust bag such that the
struts are in the opening (3) and release the metal collar
wings.
Assembly of the Screw vice (fig. 5)
• For each side of the locking button (1) you must place a
safety clamp on the rear side of the body
• Place the safety clamp (2) into the mounting hole.
Assembly of the cable flaps (fig. 6)
For your comfort and in order to avoid damage to the leads
during transport or storage, the drawing slits have two flaps
on their backs for the cables.
Here is how you mount these flaps:
• Fasten each flap (2) on the rear of the drawing track
slide with a mounting screw (1)
Saw Blade Chock (fig. 7)
For handy storage and to prevent loss, the rear of the body
is provided with a slit to hold the chocks (2).
Note: We explicitly recommend that this crown and mitre
box saw be screwed to the work bench so that the machine
is as stable as possible
• Mark the four rivet holes on the bench.
• Drill the holes with a 10 mm bit in the workbench.
• Screw the crown and mitre box saw with screws, wash-
ers, and nuts tightly to the workbench. Please note that
these fastening elements are not supplied with the ma-
chine.
ADJUSTMENT (fig. 30, 31)
Wide pieces need upfront supports (1).
Rotate the two upfront supports (1) toward the rear of the
saw.
NOTE: these supports (1) should be placed into the 0
position as shown in Fig. 31 before transporting.

Start Up
Note: The machine is precisely adjusted before it is trans-
ported. Check the precision and adjust as need be in order
to achieve the best operating results.
Operating the Machine
WARNING! Do not put the plug into the electrical socket
before all installation and adjustment work is completed
and you have read and understood the safety and operating
instructions.
Basic operation of the crown and mitre-box saw with auto-
matic intake
• To place the materials to be sawn always use a vice. Two
holes are available (fig. 5) for vice fitting.
• Always position the materials to be sawn on the mount-
ing area. Any curved or crooked materials which cannot
lie flat on the table or mounting area can get caught in
the saw blade and should not be used.
• Never put your hands near the saw. Keep your hands at
all times outside the "Prohibited Hand Areas," which
includes the entirety of the mounting table. This area is
marked with a "No Hands" symbol.
WARNING! In order to avoid accidents with materials that
are thrown out of the machine, the plug must be taken out
of the socket and then small pieces removed.
Release of the saw head from the tilted position (fig. 3)
• Push the saw head (1) and the blocking lever (4) gently
downward
• Pull out the spring chock
• Bring the saw head into the fully upright position.
Turning on the saw (fig. 1)
Push the screen grip (3) downward and push on the switch
(5) to turn on the saw.
Straight Cut (fig. 16)
• To make a straight cut in smaller pieces of material,
push the complete saw head (2) back and pull open the
slit block grip (1).
• To saw broader boards (up to 305 mm), the slit block
grip must be released so that the saw head can move
freely.
• Place the materials to be cut on the table, flush to the
stop. Use the screw vice that is attached to the body of
the machine whenever possible. Push the spring chock
(3) downward and press the on/off switch to turn on the
saw. Move the blade by pressing the grip (4) downward
into the material with slow and steady pressure.
When the cut is complete, press the switch and let the
saw blade come to a full stop before you raise the saw
head.
Bevelled Cut (fig. 17)
The machine is equipped with bevelling springs (1) on
the body. These are placed at 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6 and 45
degrees left and right as well as 60 degrees right. These
settings correspond to the most often used bevelled cuts.
Here is how you make a bevelled cut:
• Release the bevelled montage table by lifting up the ta-
ble quick release (2)
• As you raise the spring grip (3), grab the hand grip (4)
and turn the montage table to the left or right into the
desired angle.
