feasible if you read the operating manual
and safety instructions (red print with the
TRUMPF
identity
completely and follow the instructions inc-
luded therein.
Danger of injury
The appliance must not be damp and also
must not be operated in a damp environment.
In principle plug sockets must be equipped
with fault current circuit breakers. Questions
should be addressed to your electrician.
Check the unit, cable and plug before each
use.
Have all damaged parts repaired by an
expert.
Danger of injury
Hot chips are ejected from the chip ejector
at extremely high speeds. You should the-
refore use a chip bag to collect the ejected
chips.
Danger of injury
The machine is supported by the workpiece
as long as they are in contact when the
cutting arrangement is "normal" (workpiece
is horizontal). Remember that the entire
weight of the machine must be supported
as soon as the workpiece is cut, as the
machine no longer has contact to the
workpiece. (aid: hook with balancer or re-
taining rope).
Always wear safety glasses, ear
protection, protective gloves and
proper footwear when working
with the machine.

Ensure that the unit is off before inserting the plug
in the socket. Pull out the mains plug after use.
•
Remove the plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the machine. Never carry the unit
by the cable.
•
Always guide the cable back away from the unit.
•
Use only original TRUMPF accessories.

Before initial use
1.
Read the chapter on Safety.
2.
Mount the handle (the handle is enclosed se-
parately with the new machine).
3.
Check whether the installed die is suitable for
the sheet thickness that is to be machined.
4.
Sharpen or replace blunt tools.
5.
The mains voltage must correspond to the
specifications on the machine type plate.
Machines with 230V may also be connected
to 220V.
Machines with 115V may also be connected
to 110V.
Operating instructions
Check the tools for wear every hour.
Damage to property
Never nibble using blunt tools,
as this could otherwise overload the machine!
