4 Installation

Once the equipment is unpacked, check it is all right. Preserve the packing for some
days.

4.1 Location

To ensure the best performance, the following conditions are required:
Place the equipment over a flat, levelled and stable surface, suitable for the equipment
weight and not exposed to direct sunlight.
The best working temperature range is 16-35ºC and the humidity is 45-80%.
With the aim of having the best equipment performance, keep it isolated, as much
as possible, from any magnetic or electrical field source or any other electrical device
that could generate high frequency fields.
Install the unit in an area free of dust, corrosive gas and hard vibrations.
Place the equipment at a distance lower than a 1.5m from a power socket.
To work in a comfortable way, left a free space of 50cm around the equipment and
a minimum of 20cm behind it.
Remove obstructions or materials that could obstruct the air flow around and under-
neath the equipment.

4.2 Power supply connection

Please, select a socket near the equipment and suitable for its power.
Use only the supplied cord or similar ones to connect the equipment.
For your safety, the equipment must be earthed.
Before switching on, make sure that the voltage and the power frequency correspond
to the indicated in the equipment.
If the local voltage is not stable enough, a manostat is required.
Be sure to set the instrument's voltage switch at your local power supply,
or severe damage may occur!
