TI3410Inst.exe
2. In some cases, a warning screen will appear informing us that a
driver non-certified by Windows is being installed. Press «Continue»
and wait for the same warning message to appear again. Once
accepted twice, we can connect the equipment by USB and then
switch it on.
3. If no screen appears, the user would have to manually go to the
Devices Manager. (Start Menu – Execute-devmgmt.msc) Then, locate
USB – Serial Port and activate the installation from there.
If an admiration symbol appears next to the USB – Serial Port icon, it
indicates a lack of driver.
We should say NOT to connect to Windows Update, in the next
sc ree n.
4. We will activate «Automatically install the software» and then
continue.
5. If we have executed the TI3410Inst.exe before, located in
the folder where the USB driver is, Windows will begin to automatically
install the device «Multiple Ports Serial Adapter». (If the Windows
Certification warning appears again, press «Continue»).
6. When finished, we will wait till the assistant appears again and
repeat the same steps. This time, the «USB – Serial Port (COM X)»
device will be installed
7. The PC is ready to be used with any program connected via USB
to the equipment.
COM number could be different in any case. Any program to be
connected to this port should be configured according to the number
indicated in the Device Manager. This COM number could be changed
if desired in «USB - Serial Port (COM X)» properties in the Device
Manager.
If there were any problems in the drivers' installation, clean the
register searching for the TUSB3410 entries and remove each one. If
a folder with drivers concerning content could not be removed, we
will click on the mouse right button over the folder and select
«Permissions». Once there, we will select «Allow total control» in the
corresponding user. Then, we will be able to remove the folder.
Once the register is clean, reset the computer and start again the
process.
