5.4 Establishing a Bluetooth connection
Note
If you are connecting the range meter to another device via Bluetooth for the first time, ensure that
Bluetooth is activated on the other device and that the counterpart device is set to be visible to other
devices. Without taking these two steps, it may not be possible to connect the range meter to the
other device.
1. Open the tool settings on the start page.
2. Switch on the "Bluetooth" option in the "WIRELESS & NETWORKS" section.
3. Select "More...".
◁ The tool searches for suitable Bluetooth devices.
4. In the settings on the device to which you want to connect the tool, ensure that the device is visible to
other devices and that it is able to connect to new devices. Further information may be included in the
documentation for the respective devices.
5. If no Bluetooth devices were found, select "Search for devices".
6. Select the device you wish to pair with under "Available devices" as soon as it is displayed.
7. Confirm the pairing by pressing "Yes" or "Pair".
Note
You can increase the battery life of the Li-ion battery if you deactivate Bluetooth after carrying out
a data transfer.
