MISE À JOUR DES CARACTÉRISTIQUES TECHNIQUES

1 – INTENDED USE
Respireo SOFT Nasal is a nasal mask with calibrated vent ports
(Vented) intended for single-patient reuse in the home environment
and multipatient reuse in the hospital environment .
Respireo SOFT Nasal is to be used by adult patients (weighing >30
kg) for whom a continuous positive pressure therapy (CPP) or a
respiratory support with positive expiratory pressure (PEP) have been
prescribed.
2 - WARNINGS
2.1 The mask must only be used with positive pressure generators
recommended by a physician or respiratory therapist.
2.2 The mask must only be used with the appliance turned on. The
flow through the vent ports is guaranteed if the appliance provide
at least a pressure of 4 cmH
through the vent ports may be insufficient, which could lead to
partial re-inhalation.
2.3 The vents must be kept clear.
2.4 If you experience discomfort or irritation, or suffer from an allergic
reaction to any of the components of the mask, please report this
O. With low pressures, the flow

to your doctor or respiratory therapist.
2.5 If oxygen is used, do not smoke or use open flame.
2.6 If oxygen is used, the flow must be turned off when the device
is not operating, in order to prevent an accumulation of unused
oxygen and a risk of fire.
2.7 Do not use the mask in the presence of nausea or vomiting.
2.8 The mask must be kept away from light.
2.9 The mask must be cleaned and/or disinfected. For further details
refer to the section "Cleaning and disinfecting the mask".
2.10 Check the mask before use. If there is any visible damage, report
it to the dealer.
2.11 Replace the mask if it shows any signs of deterioration (e.g.
cracks, scratches, fractures or tears).
2.12 The mask must only be used in accordance with these
instructions. No other instructions are applicable.
2.13 Some of the components of the mask are small enough to be
swallowed by children and must never be left unattended. An
adult must always be present.
3 - COMPONENTS OF THE MASK (Fig. A)
a) cushion; b) mask frame; c) elbow; d) swivel connector; e) headgear;
f) buckle.
4 – FITTING (Fig.B)
4.1 For the first installation, first of all remove the packaging then
attach the cushion (a) to the mask frame (b) keeping the cushion
triangle aligned with the mask frame triangle. To properly mount
the cushion (a), put the fingers and push as shown in the picture
(Fig.B1).
Note: Be sure that the lines on the mask frame (b) and on
the cushion (a) are aligned; if not, the cushion is not mounted
properly. Please mount the cushion again.
4.2 Keep the mask in one hand and align the bottom part of the
cushion opening to the bottom part of the nose then with the other
