CL75/ Translation of the original instructions
PUTTING THE MACHINE INTO SERVICE
1) Check that the machine has not been damaged during transport.
2) Check the oil levels of the engine and hydrostatic transmission.
3) Check the tyre pressure: 1,5 BAR.
4) Turn the handlebar.
5) Install the front wheel support (fig.5).
6) Tighten the clamping and regulating screws of the front-wheel support firmly. The bearing inside the
support must block.
RUNNING IN – CAUTION!!
Change the engine oil after the first 20 working hours. Check that there are no oil leaks or slack screws,
especially those which fix the blade. After a couple of working hours adjust the tension of the belt running
from the engine to the cutting deck as well as the blade brake tension(fig. 6 – fig. 7)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
Before starting the engine, always check that:
– the engine oil level is correct (fig. 8, ref. A) – (see the appropriate manual).
– the air fins for the engine cooling system are clean (fig. 10).
– the air filter is thoroughly clean (fig. 1, no. 13) – (see the appropriate manual).
– the mowing deck is clean.
– the fins on the hydraulic motor are thoroughly clean (fig. 14).
– the blades are well sharpened and secured to the blade holder.
Fill the fuel tank with fresh fuel using a funnel. (fig. 1, no.12).
STARTING THE ENGINE
– Push the throttle half way in (fig.1, no. 4).
– If the engine is cold, use the choke and pull the throttle lever to its mechanical end.
– Turn on the engine by strongly pulling the recoil starter (fig. 1, no. 11).
– Once the engine has started, turn off the choke device and wait a few minutes to allow the engine to
warm up.
STARTING WORK
– Choose the desired cutting height using the lever (fig. 1, n°10). Suitably accelerate the engine, press
both levers (fig. 1, no. 1) and engage the PTO lever (fig. 1, n. 2 – in the picture the PTO is not engaged).
Gently operate the forward lever (fig. 1, n. 3) and start working. To stop the machine, release both levers
on the handlebar (fig. 1, n. 1). The rotation of the blade disengages automatically.
– The lever (fig. 1, no. 3) is used to select the working speed and to engage the reverse gear. Pushing
the lever forward, the mower moves forward; pulling the lever backwards, the machine moves in reverse
– remember to always pull the lever gently. When both levers on the handlebar are released (fig. 1, no.
1) the lever in reverse gear (fig. 1, no. 3) goes automatically back to the STOP position.
- a knob is located on the forward/reverse gear lever (fig. 1, no. 3) there is a knob (fig. 1, no. 9) that is
used to make the lever softer or harder. The machine is equipped with a device that automatically
disengages the reverse gear. Always keep this device fully operative.
PARKING BRAKE
To stop the mower correctly, the user must engage the brake lever. When the lever is in the position
shown (fig. 12, ref. A) the brake is not engaged. Remember to always engage the parking brake,
especially when leaving the machine at standstill on slopes.
