Set the DISPLAY switch to ON.

Set the PLAY/CAMERA/OFF switch to CAMERA.
The record lamp is lit.

Set the FLASH switch and WB switch according to the lighting
conditions.
When using a strobe, be sure to set the FLASH switch to ON (white
balance of 5400K is obtained).
When not using a strobe, set the FLASH switch to OFF, and set the
WB switch to the appropriate position

Set the picture resolution mode to Hi by pressing the picture resolution
mode button several times.

Point the camera to the subject, and adjust the frame by monitoring the
LCD of the camera.

Set the iris of the lens. To do so, loosen the screw located at the lower
side of the lens, turn the iris ring to set to the desired position, then
tighten the screw. The iris setting can be observed through the iris
indication window located at the upper side of the lens.
Note
The real iris setting will not be reflected in the image of the LCD.

Press the release button on the camera.
The record lamp starts flashing slowly. Once the picture is stored in
memory, flashing stops.
