Protecting a Picture

To erase a protected picture
To avoid erasing a picture accidentally, a picture protection function is
available.

Set the DISPLAY switch to ON.

Set the PLAY/CAMERA/OFF switch to PLAY.
A picture in memory appears on the LCD.

Press Z or z of the mode button to select a picture to be protected.

Press MODE of the mode button twice.
PROTECT appears on the LCD.

Press SET of the mode button.
The protect mark appears, and the picture is now protected from
accidental erasure.
Repeat steps 3 and 5 to protect the other pictures.
Pressing MODE of the mode button finalizes the protection setting.
If you wish to erase a protected picture, select the picture and repeat steps
4 and 5 to make the protect mark disappear, upon which the protection is
released.
