Description
These Instructions for Use refer to pad particle filters, unencapsu-
lated particle filters (X-plore Pure and X-plore Pure Odour), particle
filters, gas filters and combination filters subsumed under the name
of X-plore bayonet respiratory filters.
Particle filters, X-plore Pure particle filters and pad particle filters are
used to reduce the content of harmful particles in the breathing air.
X-plore Pure particle filters can be fitted on the gas filter using the
Pure adapter or directly attached to the mask.
Pad particle filters can be fitted to the gas filter using a pad cap or
directly attached to the mask using a pad plate and pad cap.
X-plore Pure Odour particle filters do not only filter particles from
the breathing air but also nuisance odours of organic gases and
vapours as well as of acid gases (e.g. sulphur dioxide, hydrogen
chloride, chloride). The workplace limit values for these substanc-
es must not be exceeded. Otherwise, suitable gas filters are to be
used. The
X-plore Pure Odour particle filters are attached directly to the
mask.
Gas filters are used to reduce certain harmful vapours and gases
in the breathing air.
Combination filters are used when particles as well as gases and
vapours are likely to occur.
Intended use
X-plore bayonet respiratory filters combined with Dräger half
masks (X-plore 3300/3500, X-plore 3350/3550) or full face masks
(X-plore 5500) form a filter apparatus set. A filter apparatus filters
certain gases, vapours and particles from the air breathed by the
wearer within the specified limit values.
The comprehensive list of hazardous substances in the Dräger
Voice database (see www.draeger.com/voice) can assist in select-
ing a suitable respiratory filter.
