Attaching pad particle filter (to the gas filter or the pad plate)
(see Figure B)
 Insert pad particle filter into the pad cap (labelling visible from
outside) and snap into place on all sides (1).
 Click pad cap with inserted pad particle filter to the gas filter or
the pad plate (2).
Make sure that the fit of the pad particle filter remains un-
changed.
Attaching X-plore Pure particle filter (to the gas filter)
(see Figure C)
 Fit the narrow side of the Pure adapter onto the gas filter (1).
 Align the marks on the gas filter and the Pure adapter with
each other.
 Use both balls of the thumb to slide the Pure adapter symmet-
rically on the gas filter until the wide side of the Pure adapter
engages on the gas filter (2).
 Press the rim of the Pure adapter to the gas filter all around.
WARNING
!
Make sure that the individual components do not get
jammed. If the rim of the Pure adapter is not symmetrical-
ly fitted to the gas filter, disassemble the two components
and repeat the procedure.
Otherwise it is not ensured that the connection is leak-
tight and that the filter offers complete protection.
 Align the marks on the X-plore Pure particle filter and the Pure
adapter with each other (3).
 Screw the X-plore Pure particle filter into the Pure adapter in
arrow direction as far as it will go (4). When screwing do not
hold on one side but as shown in figure C to avoid jamming.
 Check that the rim of the Pure adapter is fitted tightly to the gas
filter all around.
NOTICE
i
i
For disassembling hold the Pure adapter on the straight
side and withdraw it from the gas filter.

Service life

A general guide to service life cannot be given, as the service life
depends very strongly on the ambient conditions, e.g. nature and
concentration of the contaminant, air requirement of the user, hu-
midity and temperature.
Gas filters must be replaced at the latest when the user notices
penetration of the filter (odour, taste or irritations).
Particle filters, unencapsulated particle filters or pad particle fil-
ters must be replaced if the breathing resistance increases sig-
nificantly.
