Optimizing the tape
condition before
recording
Set the ORC TO SET in the menu to
automatically adjust the recording condition of
the tape to get the best possible recording.
(1) Insert a cassette, and press MENU to display
the menu on the LCD screen before starting
recording.
(2) Press v or V to select the ORC TO SET, then
press EXECUTE. "START/STOP KEY"
appears on the LCD screen.
(3) Press START/STOP. "ORC" blinks for about
9 seconds on the LCD screen. If "ORC"
disappears, it means that setting is completed.
Once you eject a cassette, the setting returns to
the default.
If you have already performed this function,
"ORC ON" is displayed when you select ORC
TO SET in the menu system.
Note on ORC TO SET setting
When you eject a cassette, the ORC TO SET
setting is released. Set ORC TO SET when you
insert a cassette. When you set ORC TO SET, the
recording on the tape is erased for about 0.1
second so that the camcorder can check the tape
condition. Be careful when you use a recorded
tape. The 0.1 second blank is erased if you record
from the point where you set ORC TO SET for
more than 2 seconds, or if you record over the
blank. You cannot set ORC TO SET for a cassette
with its tab out (red).

Ajuste ORC TO SET en el menú para ajustar
automáticamente la condición de grabación de la
cinta y obtener la mejor grabación posible.
(1) Inserte un videocassette y pulse MENU para
visualizar el menú en la pantalla LCD antes
de iniciar la grabación.
(2) Pulse v o V para seleccionar ORC TO SET y
después pulse EXECUTE. La pantalla LCD
mostrará "START/STOP KEY".
(3) Pulse START/STOP. "ORC" parpadeará
durante unos 9 segundos en la pantalla LCD.
Si "ORC" desaparece, significa que el ajuste
está finalizado. Al extraer el videocassette se
restablecerá el ajuste por omisión.
Si ya ha realizado esta función, "ORC ON"
aparece cuando se selecciona ORC TO SET en el
sistema de menús.
Nota sobre el ajuste ORC TO SET
Cuando se expulsa el videocassette, el ajuste de
ORC TO SET desaparece. Ajuste ORC TO SET
cuando que inserte un videocassette. Al ajustar
ORC TO SET, la grabación de la cinta se
interrumpe durante aproximadamente 0,1
segundos para que la videocámara pueda
comprobar el estado de la cinta. Preste atención
cuando utilice cintas grabadas, ya que el espacio
en blanco de 0,1 segundos se borrará si graba
durante más de 2 segundos a partir del punto
donde ajustó ORC TO SET, o si graba sobre dicho
espacio en blanco. ORC TO SET no puede
ajustarse con videocassettes que tengan la
lengüeta fuera (roja).
