ADJUSTING THE STEERING HEAD BEARING PLAY

CLEANING THE CHAIN

Regularly cleaning the chain considerably increases its service life.
Clean the chain and apply chain lubricant.
Minerva Chain Cleaner

CHECKING THE CHAIN TENSION

Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand.
Loosen screws
Loosen or tighten the nut
the steering bearing play.
Steering nut
Tighten the screws

Tighten screw

Check the play of the steering head bearings.

Remove the bike from the stand.
The bearings should be greased at least once
a year with a good quality grease.

Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand
Push the chain up and measure the chain
movement as shown in the diagram.
Chain tension
If the chain tension is not correct, see how
to adjust the chain. (
Otherwise, remove the bike from the stand.
