8. Dismounting, return and disposal

8.1 Return

Strictly observe the following when shipping the instrument:
All instruments delivered to WIKA must be free from any kind of hazardous substances
(acids, bases, solutions, etc.) and must therefore be cleaned before being returned.
When returning the instrument, use the original packaging.
To avoid damage:
1. Place the instrument, along with the shock-absorbent material, in the packaging.
Place shock-absorbent material evenly on all sides of the transport packaging.
2. If possible, place a bag containing a desiccant inside the packaging.
3. Label the shipment as carriage of a highly sensitive measuring instrument.
During transport, observe the country-specific regulations for load securing.

CAUTION!
Physical injuries due to sharp-edged threads
Due to sharp-edged threads (e.g. at the DN8 connection), cuts may occur.
Wear the requisite protective equipment.
CAUTION!
Risk of burns due to hot surfaces and ignition
During dismounting, there is a risk that the components have heated up
considerably.
Let the instrument cool down for at least 10 minutes.
CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property and the environment
through residual media
Residual media in the dismounted instrument can result in a risk to
persons, the environment and equipment.
With hazardous substances, include the material safety data sheet for
the corresponding medium.
Clean the instrument, see chapter 7.2 „Cleaning".
