Keep the tool slightly taut and accelerate several times for a maximum of 4-6 seconds each time.
CAUTION!

Accelerating for a long time on the same point of the branch will not further facilitate the detachment of the
fruits; change the coupling position and repeat the shaking operation.

Make sure that the protection (18) is fully tightened.
Stopping the tool
Stop the tool by setting the on/off switch (10) to the OFF position.
5 TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshooting
CAUTION!

FAULT
The tool does not start.
The hook (21) detaches from the ex-
tension pole (23).
Engine (3) power decrease.
Excessive overheating of the tool
body.
Excessive oil leaking from the shaft.

6 ENGINE
Engine start-up

CAUTION!
With the engine idle, the extension pole (23) must not move.

Climatic and altimetric variations can alter the carburation.

In case of significant engine power decrease, consult the engine manual.
Engine stop
Bring the accelerator lever (11) to the minimum and wait a few seconds for the engine to cool down.
Turn off the engine by setting the on/off switch (10) to the STOP position.

CAUSE
a)
There is no fuel.

On/off switch (10) at OFF.

Other causes.
Loose fixing screws (25).
Clogged or damaged air filter.
There is no oil.
Work gasket.
REMEDY
a) Fill the engine tank (13).
b) Check that the switch (10) is po-
sitioned on START.

Tighten the screws (25).
Clean or replace the air filter.
Top-up the oil to the
centre line of the indicator (8) by
loosening
the cap (9).
Have the gasket replaced by a
mechanical maintenance technician.
